I am celebrating all things Hitchcockian this month with a BIG COMPETITION. Super-dooper prizes on offer and everyone can enter. Here’s the scoop on Hitchcockian action a go-go.
1 – recipe of the month this month is Alfred Hitchcock’s Quiche Lorraine – skip over to the Recipe of the Month page for the recipe during September.
2 – my chum Nathalie over at the BFI has made a film showing how to make a Hitchcock quiche – I heartily recommend you check it out.
3 – I will be playing my gramophone records to accompany the first ever showing of newly discovered Hitchcock home movies at the Cinema Museum during the legendary annual Home Movie Day on 20th October.
4 – the wonderful Hitchock season continues here in London – www.bfi.org.uk/hitchcock – and thanks to the bfi I have TWO complimentary TICKETS to the forthcoming screening of Champagne starring the fabulous Betty Balfour. Date is Thursday 27th September at the BFI Southbank in London. These silent screenings with live musical accompaniments always sell out really quickly so these tickets are gold dust. The lovely folks at the BFI have also given me a copy of “39 Steps to the Genius of Hitchcock” to give away. I’m so happy.
This competition is open to everyone – not just to my newsletter subscribers. All you lovely blog readers and the Silver Screen Suppers Facebook page friends too. Even if you live in New York, Sydney or Rio or somewhere else far away from London I encourage you to apply – if you win you could offer the prize to a chum who lives here, or we could have a tombola and surprise another competition entrant who’ll be able to attend the screening.
