Alan Ladd’s Anchovy Salad – My Top 100 Movie Star Recipes #87

This is something I crave on a regular basis so I’m hereby adding it to the top 100.

I use fresh anchovies for this salad, usually these,

rather than the ones in tins or jars, but you COULD use those if you like a salty salad!

It’s a super easy with lots of flavour and it’s worth the little bit of effort to mash the yolks with some of the anchovies. I admit that I do sometimes skip this bit, but when I do things Alan’s way it feels extra fancy pants.

Here’s the version I made yesterday, with anchovies mashed.

It was DELICIOUS!  I might have it again today!
