If Diana hadn’t already made an appearance in the Top 100 Movie Star Recipe countdown with her Artichoke Bean Bowl, this tuna salad would have gone in. It’s something I make quite a lot, with variations. I usually have a tin of tuna and a tin of beans around the place so it’s an easy thing to make for lunch.
I’ve been thinking about Diana a lot lately. I want to feature one of her films on my monthly Dinner and a Movie Substack but I am swithering about which one. Most of my readership is in the USA and I wonder how well known Diana is there. I’m thinking of doing Yield to the Night if it isn’t too GRIM. I need to watch it again to see if it is as depressing as I remember…
The film was called Blonde Sinner in the USA.
When I mentioned in an online zoom writing group recently that I was going to be writing about Diana, my chum Tracy O’Brien mentioned Diana’s appearance in the Adam and the Ants Prince Charming video.
This led to us both making the internationally known symbol for this song, we couldn’t help ourselves!
As an ardent Adam and the Ants fan in my youth (me second from right with the warpaint)
I am planning to listen to an album next time I make Diana’s salad.
Here’s the recipe for you…
I am making more of an effort to take appetising food photos these days (sometimes!) and I think I did a good job with this dish.
Now I want this for lunch! The recipe is from this dinky little book…
I’ve written quite a bit about the X-Cel diet promoted by Diana, if you are interested, skip over here for more info.
