Jane Fonda’s Very Berry Waffles

Hot on the heels of Vincent Price’s Waffles are Jane’s.  Now, I have never heard of putting fruit IN waffles, but that’s the way Jane has them, so why not?

I’ve been looking after Ringo, the dog from number 14, while Chloë and D-Fran have been in Paris and I have loved every minute.  Ringo is so cute, and absolutely no trouble at all.  Loves to sleep.  On my sofa…

On my yellow chair…

On my bed…

And IN the bed too…

Nestling down with me like a furry hot water bottle and snuffling away all through the night.

I WANT A DOGGIE!

A bonus that came with looking after Ringo, was that it forced me to go out into the garden.  I live on the fourth floor of a block of flats without a lift.  There is a beautiful communal garden and I constantly berate myself for not spending any time out there….

But having charge of a doggie who needs to pee a couple of times a day has forced me to sit outside for half an hour or so with coffee or a beer watching Ringo chasing squirrels and barking at non-existent enemies.  I have loved it. MUST – DO – THIS – MORE – OFTEN – even without doggie.

I had a social engagement on Sunday which meant I had to hand over doggie duties to Dee.  She came round and I made Jane’s waffles for us both and we chewed the fat about all sorts…

Best moment was when we were discussing how high Jane Fonda can get her leg up in the Jane Fonda workout…

…and Dee got right down on the floor in my living room and demonstrated the fact (with no warm up stretching mark you…) that she could do this too.

Dee is a friend of my boyfriend.  But I like to think she could be a friend of mine too.  She’s definitely my kind of woman.

Maybe if I make her lots of Jane Fonda Very Berry Waffles….

  1. Sorry for the two posts but I have been thinking about buying a waffle iron for a while now. These may be what prompts me into action! xx
