Hollywood Cocktails and Canapes Party 2 – Lionel Barrymore’s Horseradish Eggs

I thought these were very pretty.  I was hoping that I’d be able to pipe the filling into a little rosette shape like I imagined folks would have done in the 1970s but it was runnier and so I spooned it in.  Delicious.  I loved these little eggs.  Lionel knew what he was doing here.  Horseradish.  Mmmmm.  Katy loved them but said they were a bit tricky to eat, “you’d have to eat these in private” she said.

I was pleased with myself the day after our party when I had the bright idea of using up the left over filling and the white sauce that was also left over to make cauliflower cheese. YES!  When can I make more horseradish eggs and therefore more knock-on cauliflower cheese?  Eggy cheesy goodness.
