It’s a long time since there has been a FAIL here at Silver Screen Suppers Towers but Myrna’s shortbread was close to a fail. It was OK, but that is all. Texture was fine but main problem was, not enough sugar for the modern taste.
Therefore, this won’t be the recipe I use when I attempt to whip Battenburg Belle’s ass at the Muswell Hill Horticultural Society Spring Show cookery competition.
But you know what, I’ve just looked at the recipe spreadsheet and there is a VINCENT PRICE recipe for shortbread… There is hope for me yet. Although BB does also have a copy of the Treasury of Great Recipes where the recipe resides. Let the shortbread wars begin!
