Peter Fonda Blender Breakfast

Summer is a’coming in and mornings in my flat no longer involve breaking through icicles to get into the kitchen. Therefore the Easy Rider Smoothie is BACK!

I really love this smoothie, I love the taste of the spirulina and it really feels like a HEALTH TONIC. I feel many more of these happening over the next few months especially as I found a small spot for frozen blueberries in the frozen archives. I am suddenly a SUPER HEALTH FREAK!

This comes up when you google health freak.
This picture of Sting makes me laugh.

Normal service involving huge chunks of meat and pastry will be resumed soon. Until then, look at the goodness!

COR! First, Peter’s actual recipe, then my reworked version, which I have christened the Easy Rider Smoothie.

The Easy Rider Smoothie

1 frozen, sliced banana

1 raw egg

1/2 cup oat milk

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon spirulina (please note, teaspoon, not tablespoon – not sure what sea protein tastes like, but a tablespoon sounds a lot)

1 teaspoon cacao powder

1/2 tablespoon chia seeds

1/4 – 1/2 cup blueberries (smudge on the original newspaper makes it difficult to know Peter’s recommendation so it depends how many I have around)

I whizz it all up in my blender, pour it into a mighty glass and walk around the flat drinking it and feeling VERY SMUG AND PLEASED WITH MYSELF.

I do not look like this first thing in the morning…
PHOARR!!
