All the lovely people who hosted Joan Crawford dinner parties in November made me so, so happy. Seeing their photos and write-ups just made my year. Love the lovely internet! Everyone who participated went into a prize draw and one lucky person won a copy of the Cooking With Joan Crawford cookbook. Are you on tenterhooks to find out who?!
All the names went into a hat…
and I picked one at random (I was at the British seaside, in December, hence wearing many wooly layers INSIDE a pub).
and the winner is….
Greg! Greg of Greece! Congratulations Greg! I will email you this week to find out where you would like me to send your prize. Do you feel like you have won an Oscar?! (this by the way readers, is how Greg decorated his home for the Joan Crawford dinner party!)
A copy of the book coming your way soon Greg! Chin-chin!
It’s so lovely that such a new reader of the blog threw themselves so wholeheartedly into the party mode! The fact that Greg won the book gives me another opportunity of posting this picture of his Joan Crawford Crepes Suzette a second time:
and last but not least, his table decorations – ha ha!
Thanks a million to all the other participants, Lucy and Greg Brookes, Caterina at Battenburg Belle, Jane, Virginia and Theo of Theodora Goes Wild my Shellac Sisters and their beaus Trix, Charlie and Rob, Liz Waldy who I met at The Cinema Museum, Davie McGirr of Seven Songs fame, Heather, Nathan, Martha and Dan on their holidays in Cornwall, Taryn from Retro Food For Modern Times in Melbourne, Australia, Pamela from the much loved Silent London blog, the much missed Coniams – Angela and Matthew in Bath, my crazy food blogging chum in Baltimore Yinzerella from Dinner is Served, the super elegant Sally in Dubai over at My Custard Pie, new “real life” friend Peter Fuller from Kultguy’s Keep, my very own ma and pa, Dottie and Stan in Sudbury, Suffolk, long time blogger chum Lauren Hairston from the Lovely site. Phew! Thanks for coming to my party you lovely, lovely people!
Cheers!
Such a well deserved winner–Joan would be most happy. Congratulations, Greg in Greece!
Congratulations Greg. A worthy winner for the table decorations alone. So glad to be part of this event. Happy Christmas.
Wow! How exciting! Beings that I already had bought and am enjoying my copy, I’ll now have one to gift away. 🙂 Thanks for throwing such a fun party Jenny!
I think this calls for another round of Crawford Cosmos!
Oh yes indeedy!
Ah, that’s sweet! I wonder who the lucky recipient will be, do tell when you have decided!
