Hollywood Cocktails and Canapes party 3 – Vincent Price’s New Fashioneds

Some folks opted to have another pink tonic rather than the booze fuelled New Fashioneds but I preferred these of the two.  They sure packed a punch. Too busy drinking them to get a good photo…

Recipe for these is as follows:

A lump of sugar dissolved with 3 dashes Angostura and a splash of club soda, plus two rocks, a twist, a cherry and 1 1/2 ounces light Canadian whiskey.…

Mmmm – delicious.  Searching the internet for a picture of Vincent drinking I found this pic.

Mr Rathbone is having a bath and I just shouted through, “apparently there’s a film where Vincent Price and Basil Rathbone have a drinking contest” he said, with glee, “Oh we’ve GOT to see that…”  I then looked up “Tower of London” on the internet and was thrilled to see that Boris Karloff is in it too so yelled that information through too.  “Brilliant” says Mr R – “make mine a triple”.

I feel a Silver Screen Sunday coming on with recipes from all three of them…
