Vincent Price’s Calf’s Liver and Avocado

Yes, it was as weird as it sounds and looks.  I’d been wanting to try it since I saw the recipe because I love avocado and I love liver.  I knew it would be weird though, fried avocado?  Hot avocado?  And yes, it was strange  But kinda good too.  I only managed to eat about half of it.  But I enjoyed it – sort of.

Apparently Vincent gleaned this recipe from The Four Seasons in New York, and as Vincent puts it, “It doesn’t have to be nightingales’ tongues or quails’ tails to qualify for their elegant bill of fare.”
