Recipe of the Month – Anthony Perkins’ Tuna Salad

A blog reader “Jenny E” left a comment this week asking for this recipe, so I thought I would make it recipe of the month.  It is easy and it is delicious.  It’s still pretty hot here in London so salads are on the menu for a few more days I reckon…

That’s a bit gaudy aint it?!  Delicious though…

When I originally made this waaaaaaay back in 2006 (over 10 years ago, my goodness) I had no idea that anyone would ever read my blog apart from a few friends, so I rarely wrote the recipes up.  So here it is, Anthony’s recipe:

Tuna Fish Salad

Empty a tall can of tuna fish into a large salad bowl and break up with a wooden fork.  Add celery, one stalk, chopped fine, minced onions and 2 heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise.  Season with black pepper.

Squeeze lemon juice over the ingredients and mix thoroughly, but don’t mash.  Serve on lettuce leaves.

That’s it.  Simple eh?  But sometimes, the simple things are the best.
