Dorothy Lamour’s Strawberry Ice Cream

I feel a bit like this today after a lovely evening with Mr HiFi  last night.  A bit languid and sleepy and sultry…  It it hot, hot, hot in London and so, time for ice-cream.  I made a batch of Dorothy’s on Sunday and it has been quite a hit.  I had to resist eating great big spoonfuls of it before it even went in the freezer it is so delicious.  I’ve decided it will be recipe of the month for July so keep your eyes peeled.

The march of the Crocumbers has begun.  My work colleague Jim is the first past the post with his Vincent Price Cucumber Crocodile and you can see a picture of it in all its splendour here.  There has been a lot of Cooking Price-wise as I made Apricot Stuffed Pork Shoulder with Petits Pois a la Francaise on Sunday. There will be more about those over on the Vincentennial Blog later.   I’m going to have to be careful if I want to look anywhere near as good in a sarong as Dorothy, all this delicious food sure piles on the pounds…
