The wonderful portrait painter Brian Dennis won this dress – designed by Gloria Swanson – in our recent competition. He is now spreading the love and running his own contest for one lucky lady (or indeed a slender man) to have their portrait painted in the legendary frock! If the dress is not your size or style – no matter! He’ll put the frock somewhere else in the painting and you can wear whatever you fancy. This really is an amazing opportunity to have your portrait painted by a gifted artist.
His message follows:
“The dress is ready to be displayed at Weardowney Establishment, all set for the silent auction on Wednesday 30th June.
Your subscribers can enter the silent auction to have their portrait in the dress (or with the dress featuring in the somewhere in the painting) painted by yours truly. Here’s all they have to do:
Email me on firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Silent Auction”. Place your maximum bid. (Please bear in mind that by bidding you are agreeing to pay the amount stated in the email if you are chosen as the winner of the auction).
The highest bidder will be chosen at 21:00 at the vintage and fashion microcosm that is Weardowney Establishment. My next subject – fashion icon Henry Conway – will be there on the evening to annouce the winner. The winner will be notified by email within 24 hours.
Good luck Silver Supperers! I look forward to finding out who I will be painting next.
